Man held in connection with police car burning

THE KINGSTON EASTERN Police are reporting that they have held one man in connection with the burning of two police cars during a protest in the Dunkirk area of Franklyn Town two weeks ago.

The police cars were burnt during a protest in the East Kingston community on February 18 after police shot and killed Donovan Clarke who they said was wanted for several crimes within the division.

When contacted on Monday, the police said that they would be charging the suspect soon in connection with the incident.

At the time of his death, Clarke was said to be wanted for several crimes including murder and shooting with intent.
