No sex, no man
Dear Pastor,
I am in a relationship that is on the verge of breaking up because I decided to wait until marriage before having sex with my partner. I love this person, but somehow I don't think he believes me. Yes, we sometimes have our disagreements but at the end of the day, it all boils down to one thing: SEX! I'm trying to live right for the Lord but it seems that anytime I'm in a relationship with someone I love, I end up out of the relationship because of sex. Is it that men in general will not wait until marriage? Or this is a thing of the olden days? I love this man and want to keep him, but his decision to keep me is wavering because I won't have sex with him, at least not yet. Pastor what should I do? I just want to live right and I know that sex before marriage is a sin just like any other sin. G.B., Florida, U.S.A.
Dear G. B., If this man will not respect the position you have taken, you should tell him to go. Yes, it is true that many men insist that they should have sex with the women they are dating before they marry them. However, often after they have had sex with them, they leave them because they feel they have got what they wanted. And the women end up feeling depressed, disappointed and used. So, stand your ground. If you don't want to have sex, he should respect your position and wait. Pastor
