IT TAKES A special person such as a mother to care for a newborn baby by daily monitoring and making sure the child receives the proper care to become a healthy individual.
Well, in the world of horse racing, a groom has similar duties when it comes to caring for horses.
Have you ever thought about how difficult it is to care for a horse which is a powerful, yet extremely tender animal?
Well, just ask a groom as he is the one who knows the horses' habits, and especially in racing, their abilities on the track. Also, if a horse is sick or even injured they are the first one's to know.
Still, in my humble opinion, they are most times not even recognised. If horses could talk, I am sure the grooms would be the first ones they would mention. I'm saying all of this just to say let's treat them with a little more respect. They do deserve it.
