Wanderers won the match 1-0.WANDERERS AND DAYTONA FC will battle each other for the Dr. Paul Robertson Knockout trophy tomorrow afternoon at the Passagefort playing field after they defeated Hellshire United and Greater Portmore respectively.
In Thursday's semi-final,Wanderers clipped Greater Portmore FC 1-0 while Daytona FC beat Hellshire United 2-0 at the Greater Portmore playing field.
In the Wanderers versus Greater Portmore clash, the victors were rewarded for constantly attacking their opponents. In fact, it was during one of the attacks on the Greater Portmore team that Wanderers took the lead after getting three consecutive corners. Nicholas Williams out-jumped a group of Greater Portmore defenders during the third corner and deflected a ball to Kemar Jackson who headed home from close range in the 70th minute.
New coach of Wanderers, Tyrone Roberts said that his charges are ready for the final.
"We will just try and play attacking football and hopefully we will get our goals on Sunday."
On the other hand, Daytona FC will be searching for their first silverware in the Portmore Football League, as they lost 3-1 to Passagefort United in the mid-season final two Sundays ago.
However, before both teams go at each other for the the Dr. Paul Robertson trophy, reigning mid-season champions Passagefort United host Silverstone FC in round eight of the league at 1:00 p.m.
