THE TRIAL OF Matt Myrie, the gynaecologist charged with two counts of rape and indecent assault, will continue on March 14 in the Home Circuit Court.
Myrie, 31, of a Kingston 6 address, is accused of raping his patient twice in February last year while she was at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital.
Allegations before the court are that on February 26, the complainant was a patient at the hospital at which time the doctor took her docket to the ultrasound room and summoned her.
While there, she was reportedly fondled and assaulted on two occasions.
The matter was reported to the police and, following investigations, the doctor was arrested and charged after investigations were carried out.
