A 28-YEAR-old man who pleaded guilty to charges of wounding with intent, was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday.
Thomas Glenford, of a Manor View Drive, Kingston 8 address, was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment at hard labour for stabbing Errol Singh. The court was told that on February 3, at 9:15 p.m., an argument between the two developed into a fight during which the accused stabbed Singh in his side, chest, neck and legs, causing serious injuries.
SELF DEFENCE

The accused also brought a case against the complainant's brother, and alleged that he assaulted him on February 3. He accused the complainant's brother of verbally abusing him, hitting him with a stone, throwing bricks on top of his house and threatening to burn his house down.
His claims were refuted and the case was set to be tried on April 12.
