THE BULLET-RIDDLED bodies of two men and a woman, were found in an unfinished three-storey house on Blood Lane in Glendevon, St. James, yesterday.
The bodies were identified as those of returning resident Derrick Taylor, 44, his brother Senil, 45, a shoe salesman, and a dreadlocks woman, said to be Senil's girlfriend.
Police say all three bodies had multiple gunshot wounds and the room they were in had been completely ransacked with household items and clothing scattered all over it. Neighbours said they did not hear any gunshots or commotion at the house.
The bodies were discovered by two of Senil's co-workers, who went to the home to enquire why he had not shown up for work since Wednesday and was not answering his cellular phone or responding to messages left.
"It is most unusual for him not to show up for work two days in a row without calling so we decided to come up here and find out what had happened to him," said one of the distraught co-workers. "When we came here we found the bodies covered in blood with what appeared to be gunshot wounds."
Weeping relatives, who rushed to the house when they heard the news, were unaware of the deceased trio being involved in anything out of the ordinary and openly intimated that they believe robbery was the motive behind the crime.
The younger Taylor, who returned to the island eight months ago, after living in the United States for over 25 years, came back to assist in the construction of the unfinished house.
The triple killing is the first for the parish this year. St. James recorded 146 murders last year.
