Bun Man's death predicted

Glesford Hope, the father of One Order Gang leader Andrew 'Bun Man' Hope cries after hearing about the death of his son. - IAN ALLEN

High ranking members of the One Order gang recall a day of intense emotions, that inevitably led up to the death of their leader, Andrew 'Bun Man' Hope.

In fact, they claim that the death of the don was actually predicted, as a 'science woman' warned him of his imminent death earlier in the day.

"Di boss deh pon di enz a sit down pon him bike, an one woman whe powerful wit di science ting come an a chant seh di don nu fi lef him yard ... She put a X pon di bike an seh him nu fi go noweh," said a member of the gang, close to the leader.

It was said that she further warned Hope not to answer any calls that day, reiterating that he should stay where he was, in Tawes Pen.

Rumours had circulated that the don had just left the Lighthouse Assembly (where he was praying) before he was killed. However, high ranking members of the gang gave a different account of Hope's final hours, saying that they were in fact spent at a home, but agreed that the don was under an intense 'praying session,' in an effort to ward off the 'evil' that was being detected by the 'science woman'.

"Di science woman an some other church people de deh an a pray fi him nuh dead, 'cause everybody love him," said a member of the gang.

Despite their pleas however, a high ranking member that was with him less than an hour before his demise, recalled the 'last minute' defiance of his 'don.'

"Di boss deh pon di enz (Tawes Pen), an him get a call an jus guh change ina one green shirt an jump pon him bike bout him gone fi him car a garage ... likkle more a ol' man cum tell mi seh dem shot Bun Man but mi neva believe till mi come pon di street an see bear excitement," said the high ranking member of the gang.

His fears were soon confirmed, as he discovered that the don was shot in the head by unknown assailants as he sat in his parked silver Honda Civic motorcar (registered 1216 EE), at 9 Ellis Street,

"Mi nuh know right yah now, but mi feel seh is a gal set him up ... a di smartest man mi ever know, but him love gal differently ... A di only man mi know intelligent enough fi run di order peacefully," said the high ranking member of One Order.

Hope was lauded by many for his relentless efforts to broker peace between rival Spanish Town gangs, One Order and Clansman.
