DEFENDING CHAMPIONS CARIBBEAN Classic and last year's beaten finalists Forte International extended their unbeaten runs in the Portmore/St. Catherine domino league last Sunday with contrasting wins over Frazers Whip and Gold Club, respectively.
Both recorded their ninth consecutive wins to lead their respective zones.
In Zone A, Caribbean Classic whipped Frazers Whip 300-266 in a home match at Portmore Lane, while Forte International defeated Gold Club 300-291 in a Zone 'B' away match at Port Henderson Road.
In other Zone A matches, Marleymount defeated Garveymeade 300-236 in an away match at Garveymeade, Correctional Services beat Ken's Wildflower 300-260 at Spanish Town Prison Oval, Lime Tree stopped JUTC 300-284 at Westchester, while the match between Black Rooster and St. Joseph had to be postponed.
In Zone B, Angel All-Stars defeated Night Shift 300-292 in a countdown at Brunswick Avenue in Spanish Town, Mighty Destroyer clipped Masterpiece 300-293 in another Spanish Town match-up, Hurricane beat Galaxy 300-285, Right Stuff upset Old Harbour United 300-295 in Independence City and Eradication also beat ISCF 300-295 in an away match in Waterford.
The competition will take a break tomorrow in order to facilitate the annual fund-raising KO Club tournament at Garveymeade starting at noon, this featuring all teams in the Portmore league.
