Body found dumped identified

BY ANNALEE BERNARD, STAR Writer

BLACK RIVER

THE BODY OF a male, found dumped along the Fort Charles main road in St. Elizabeth on Christmas Day, last Sunday, has been identified as that of Glen Brown, 45, a construction worker of Cave District, Westmoreland.

On the morning in question, citizens saw blood stains along the roadway and went to investigate and the body was found. They notified the police, who, along with the firemen from Black River Fire Department, removed the body to Brown's Funeral Parlour for post-mortem examination and identification.

The police, upon removing the body, noticed that it had stab wounds to the upper chest and left side of the face.

Yesterday, relatives positively identified the body as that of Mr. Brown. His silver Toyota Corolla motor car, which he used as a robot taxi on weekends from Savannah-la-Mar to White House, and several pieces of jewellery, were stolen from him.

The Black River police who are investigating are asking anyone with information that can assist them in their investigation to come forward. Brown was reported missing by relatives since Thursday, December 22.
