ANALEE BERNARD, STAR Writer

BLACK RIVER, ST. ELIZABETH

TWO OF FOUR men charged with larceny of two Digicel's generators, were remanded in custody, while the other two were granted bail by Resident Magistrate Ms. Andrea Thomas last Wednesday in the Black River RM Court.

The two who were remanded are Lemar Morgan, 22, gas pump operator of Coka District in St. Elizabeth and Hosia Williams, 22, gas pump operator of Bogue in St. James. All four will return to court on January 18 next year for trial.

The other two, Richard Clarke, 41, businessman from Irwindale and Richard Crawford, 45, construction worker of Sign District, both in St. James, were granted $900,000 bail each and should report to the Freeport Police Station three times per week. They should also surrender their travel documents to the police.

ALLEGATIONS

Allegations are that on September 5, and November 2, two Digicel generators were stolen from two Digicel sites at Siloah and New Holland in St. Elizabeth.

The St. James police, acting on information, recovered the two generators in the parish and arrested the men. They are valued at over $1 million each.

Both Clarke and Crawford should return to the Black River RM Court on March 22 next year.
