Spanish Town, St. Catherine

Several residents of the Garveymeade community in Portmore were given a Christmas gift to remember at their annual Christmas treat and stage show.

The show, which was held at Section L in the community; started with a treat for children in the evening and ended in the wee hours of Christmas morning with the masses duly entertained by several stars of the music fraternity.

MANY ARTISTES ON CHRISTMAS MORNING

It was 1:30 a.m. on Christmas morning when Master of Ceremonies, Mr. Wong introduced several upcoming artistes such as Menace, Danger Worries, Ishent, and Clancy Eccles Jr., who all gave a good account of themselves. They later made way for the juggling of the Fire Sound, with Razz and Biggie and the crew upfront.

About 3 a.m., the galaxy of stars started to descend with Cocoa T, singing Sonia and a host of other well-known hits that were all well received.

I-WAYNE SPARKED FIREWORKS

The sponsor of the show, I-Wayne, came on stage and delivered several of his monster hits, such as Can't Satisfy Her, Nuh fi Bleach, and others. This set off several fire crackers and sprked many torches.

Bling Dawg also passed through and gave some energy to the proceedings. Bascom X came and did his thing and was well received. The star of the moment, Gyptian, came on stage and wasted no time in doing songs such as Mama, and Serious Times. The latter having to be pulled up several times, as the masses could not have enough of it.

Several persons who spoke to The Star following the show said the show, currently in its 12th year is growing and is a good gift for residents in the "Sunshine City" as it builds and strengthen the unity in the area.
