Save yourself the stress

Dear Pastor,

I am in a situation. I met this guy who appeared to be very nice. He told me that he was not seeing anyone, and that he has no children. We went out on a date and when he took me home that night, he confessed to me that he is the father of a young child and is living with his baby mother. He said it was eating him up inside and he had to tell me. He said he likes me a lot and doesn't want to hurt me. I asked him why he lied to me, and he said he was afraid that if he told me the truth, I would not have gone out with him.

I like him a lot, but I am confused. I need your advice.

Why bring on stress on yourself? The guy didn't tell you the truth immediately, but after confessed that he is the father of a child and is living with his/her mother. So now you know! Why not let him go? He is not a good man to have around. How many more lies will he tell you in the future? Encourage him to stay with his child's mother. Save yourself heartache.
