DAVID DIXON, WHO tried leaving Jamaica using a false document, was sentenced to a year's imprisonment suspended for two years, in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
Dixon, 33, was arrested on November 20 while at the Sangster International Airport where he was about to board a flight to North Carolina. His U.S. visa was discovered to be forged.

He told RM Winsome Henry that he was trying to go to America to work as he has three children who are dependent on him. He said a relative in North Carolina arranged a job for him at a laundromat. He said he borrowed $40,000 to pay for the visa.
RM Wilson told Dixon, who has a previous conviction for ganja and cocaine possession, that he won't be travelling anytime soon because of his record, and he needs to find legal means to make money.
