Murder, firebomb on Ambrook lane

AN ARGUMENT BETWEEN men in Ambrook Lane, escalated into a murder, and a house being firebombed on Monday night.

Dead is Raymond Williams, 37, a sailor of Ambrook Lane, after he and his cousin engaged a man only known as 'Kunda,' in a heated argument.

Police say that, about 7:45 p.m. on Monday, at the three men had been arguing on Ambrook Lane, when 'Kunda' left the scene. Minutes later, he returned, armed with a gun.

OPENED FIRE

He reportedly opened fire on both men, hitting Williams in the left side, left arm, and groin, and injuring the other man with shots to the buttocks and left hip.

Both were rushed to hospital, where Williams was pronounced dead. Three 9 mm spent shells were recovered from the scene.

Police say in a reprisal to the killing, a house on the same lane was firebombed later in the night by unknown assailants. The house was reported as "extensively damaged."

Police have since launched a manhunt for a man named 'Kunda' who they believe can help them in their investigations into the murder and shooting.
