Madonna wants to direct a film

LONDON (AP)

MADONNA SAID IN an interview Sunday, that she would like to follow the lead of her husband, filmmaker Guy Ritchie, and direct a movie of her own.

The pop singer is about to appear in a documentary about her life, I'm Going To Tell You A Secret, that will be shown December 1 in Britain by Channel 4 television.

"I would love to direct a film. I felt very inspired by making this movie, and I learned a lot about film-making and storytelling. I would like to do it on my own next time," she said in an interview with Channel 4.

Madonna said her 9-year-old daughter, Lourdes, is a good singer and dancer, and would one day follow in Madonna's famous footsteps by becoming a pop star.

Madonna said that when she recently went with her daughter to the premiere of the new movie Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in London, Lourdes was speechless at seeing its young star, Emma Watson.

Asked about her recent horse-riding accident in London, which left her with a broken collarbone and three cracked ribs, Madonna said: "I don't want to go there. I get flashbacks. I'm just starting to feel better."
