Police seek killers in chef's death

THE ST. ANDREW South Homicide Unit are investigating the death of a 41-year-old Bahamian chef who was shot dead by gunmen in the Kingston 20 area on Sunday night.

The dead man has been identified as Devon Anthony Brown who was shot dead on Denver Crescent in Kingston 20.

According to police reports, residents reported hearing gunshots after seeing a grey Toyota Corolla and a white Toyota Hiace minibus driving into a open lot in the area.

It is reported that shortly after the shots were fired, Brown stumbled into a shop in the area and asked for help. The police were called and Brown was taken to the hospital where he died while being treated.

The police said eight empty casings were found at the scene. They said Brown's car was damaged by bullets and he reportedly had bullets to the chest and arm pits.
