A 15-YEAR-OLD student from a primary and junior high school in Mandeville, Manchester, must have misunderstood the saying "wear protection," as police found shotgun bullets strapped close to his penis.
The schoolboy reportedly had three 12 gauge cartridges in a bag in his crotch, when he was searched by patrolling police officers.
Police say about 4 p.m. last Thursday, they were patrolling the area when they stopped to observe a practice match at the Greenvale Community Centre football field. The youth, who was playiong on one of the teams, was allegedly acting suspiciously, and was subsequently accosted by the lawmen.

The shotgun cartridges were found in a black scandal bag that was attached to his underpants, in the area of his genitalia. He was subsequently charged with illegal possession of ammunition.
Police say the youth had no prior arrests, but according to residents from Hatfield area, the students from that school have "no behaviour".
"They are really rude, vulgar, and are constantly walking on the road whenever they are leaving school," said Sonji Newman, a resident of the Hatfield district.
Though not all residents of the area share the same sentiments, they attest that the students actions pose a traffic problem, as they do 'jay-walk.'
Attempts to contact the institution proved futile, up to press time.
