INTERNET EXPLORER AND other browsers allow you to personalise them with various options to fit your browsing needs. Today, I will share with you some of those tips that will bring a better experience.
Add favourites and bookmarks. Internet Explorer browser is great at helping you keep track of your favourite Web sites by book- marking them for quick future access. In Explorer, it's as easy as opening a site, going to the Favourites menu, and clicking Add Favourites. Or simply click the Web page icon from the Address bar and drag it to the Favourites button on the main toolbar.
ORGANISING FAVOURITES
Organise favourites and bookmarks. A long, random list of bookmarks or favourites probably wouldn't save you much time searching, so this browser makes it easy for you to get organised. If you use Explorer, choose Organise Favourites from the Favourites menu. You can delete or rename items, move items into folders, or create new folders. Easier still, use the drag-and-drop approach for organising your favourites.
Favourites available offline. When you add a new favourite In Explorer, you can request that it be available for offline viewing. Next, click the Customise button in the Add Favourites dialog box to set up a schedule to automatically update the Web page.
View favourites on-screen. Click the Favourites button in Explorer to view your list of favourites in a pane along the left side of the screen. From this convenient pane, you can select links, add sites to the list, or organise the ones that are already there.
You can also personalize your toolbar to show the Favourites menu within Internet Explorer. To do this in Explorer, open the View menu, choose Toolbar, and select or deselect the Standard Toolbar, the Address Bar, the Links Bar, and the Radio Bar to either show or hide them on-screen.
