Life is not a bed of roses

Dear Pastor,

I read about the 18-year-old young lady who is unhappy. Life is not a bed of roses. She lives with her parents and she has to live by their rules. As a young lady, she should be grateful that her father is protecting her. When these young ladies reach 18 years old, they think that they are women. If she wants her freedom, she needs to be on her own and stop living at her parents' home, while they are sending her to school. There are so many young ladies getting raped.

Yesterday, I read about the 19-year-old who had wrote to you about meeting the 24-year-old man who had raped her and she said that because she had not had sex in a long time, she had sex with him. No man should force himself on a woman. She should not have given in to his wishes. So the 18-year-old should be very grateful that her father is protecting her.
