Kiprich
TOURING CAN BE hectic, but still filled with a host of experiences. Kiprich, the STAR's artiste of the month, shared some of his in a recent interview.
"The first tour that me do, the tour bus leave me in Virginia and gone ah Boston leave me. Mi never understand how me ah one ah the artiste dem and them go way leave me ... I had to go and catch a flight to Boston ... but when I reach, I give it to them," he said.
Kiprich, who has fans world-wide, says he is always surprised at the actions of his fans. "When me go Japan, me surprise fi see how them go on. Them sing the song word for word like is them write it. But everywhere have the same vibe: Them want tear you up and tek off piece of you, but them make you feel the love," he said.
He said it is even the same when he tours schools. "I'm doing the RE: School tour thing right now and when I go Queens, the amount of craw up me get, my shirt tear off and them things there. When I go over Haile Selassie, I couldn't even get back into the bus. The likkle youths dem boom off your fist and things like that, but the girls dem go crazy," he said.
Kiprich says though he is an artiste, he always tries to find time for his family. "The work keeps me away from home more time, so I have to try to find time to fit them in here and there. All my granny and mother and father, I have to find time to look for them."
Later this week, he will be going off to do shows in Boston, New York, West Palm and Antigua and looks forward to more interesting experiences.
