A father's painful search

Dear Pastor,

I resigned my job as a Minister of Religion and as a result, my wife, a registered pharmacist at a prominent hospital, moved out of the matrimonial home with our three-year-old son. She filed for custody at the Spanish Town Family Court, but before the judge could make a ruling she stopped attending court. She has not been seen since.

Although the court has issued a warrant for her arrest, the police in Spanish Town have not been making any effort to find her. After speaking with them they said that I should hire a private investigator, because this is not police work. I sent a missing persons report to CCN with pictures but the head of CCN who is a friend of the family and church affiliate decided to block it from being published in the media.

It has been eight months of psychological and emotional pain for me. I am hurting badly and I cannot begin to imagine the pain and trauma that my son is going through as he has been very close to me since birth. I am not sure whether they are alive or dead. His name is Gabriel Williams and my wife's name is .............

I discovered that she was issued a U.S. visa in January so I don't know if she has run off with my son to the United States of America or if she is still in Jamaica. I am seeking the help of any organisation which can help me to reunite with my one and only son. Please!

S. W.,

Kingston, Jamaica

Dear S. W.,

I cannot comment on what you have alleged that your wife has done. And I prefer not to comment on what you have accused the CCN of doing. I do not believe that it is fair to your wife to publish her name. In my opinion, you need the help of an attorney-at-law. I wish you well.
