ORVILLE WILLIAMS OF South Hampton district who was charged with rape was found guilty by a seven-member jury and sentenced to 15 years imprisonment in the St. Elizabeth Circuit Court on Friday.
The complainant testified that she was at her home on May 7, 2002, when Williams came to her house and asked her for a glass of water.
When she was about to take the bottle back to the refrigerator, he held her from behind and tried to fondle her bottom and breast. She resisted and he pushed her down on her bed and it was then that she kicked him into a drum that was inside the room. After that he left the house.
She told the court that on May 9, two days later, she was at home alone when Williams came back to the house and proceeded to fight her again for sex. She became tired of fighting him and it was then that he used his foot to part her legs and forcibly raped her.
She reported the matter to the Santa Cruz police and after investigations, Williams was charged.
