JAMAICA HAVE NAMED four British-based players among seven overseas professionals to tackle Australia in a friendly international at Craven Cottage in London on Sunday afternoon.
Bolton Wanderer's Ricardo Gardner, resurgent forward Ricardo Fuller, who plays for Southampton, Preston North End's big defender Claude Davis, and Watford's Marlon King are the England-based players in the 18-man squad.
USA-based defenders Tyrone Marshall (LA Galaxy) and Robert Scarlett (Real Salt Lake), and forward Damani Ralph, who plays for the Russian side Kazan Rubin are also in coach Wendell Downswell's 18-man roster.
"This is one of the better squads we have assembled (recently) in terms of strength and we are looking for a positive result," Downswell said.
Recent England-based professionals Jermaine Johnson and Omar Daley, and Fabian Dawkins, who recently completed a successful (All-Star) season in the United Soccer League (USL) for the Atlanta Silverbacks, are also in the squad.
The list is completed by local-based players - Shawn Sawyers and Leighton Murray, Jermaine Taylor, Desmond Breakenridge, Omar Daley, Garfield Reid, Jermaine Johnson, Nicholy Findlayson, Shane Crawford, Fabian Dawkins, Luton Shelton.
The team leaves the island today for the game aiming to avenge a 2-1 defeat inflicted on them by the Australians in 2003 when the two teams last met.
"It will be a tough assignment, probably one of the toughest in some time," Downswell said.
The match is widely expected to be a sell-out.
