WESTERN BUREAU:

TWO SCHOOLS, DECARTERET College and St. Thomas Technical, will put their perfect win records on the line tomorrow when the ISSA Pepsi Jamaica National daCosta Cup schoolboys' football competition continues with eight games.

DeCarteret who lead Zone F with six points will host May Day while St. Thomas Technical, the Zone L (b) leaders with nine points from their three wins, will play away to second placed Yallahs.

Both teams missed the inter-zone round last year and will be hoping to make amends by finishing in the top two of their respective zones.

DeCarteret are coming off a 5-1 thrashing of Belair on Saturday after beating Manchester High 3-0 on Wednesday, while May Day have one point from their two games played so far.

Yallahs should give St. Thomas Technical their stiffest test so far this season, despite coming off a loss at Seaforth on Saturday.

Former champions Munro College will be hoping to return to winning ways when they take on Newell who are two points higher than them in the standings.

Munro were beaten at home by St. Elizabeth Technical (STETHS) on Saturday and slipped to third place in the standings behind leaders St. Elizabeth Technical who are perfect after four games.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, defending champions Glenmuir High ran past former champions Vere Technical by 10-0 in Zone I to take their record to four wins.

Carnell Learmond scored four times to take his tally of goals on the season to nine, while James Thomas grabbed two to take his total to eight on the season.

The Patrick 'Jackie' Walters-coached team has dominated the competition since the start, scoring 26 goals in four matches so far and are yet to concede any.

STETHS and Denbigh High maintained their perfect win streak while Grange Hill, Godfrey Stewart High, Titchfield and Port Antonio High all dropped their first points of the season, all drawing their games.

Denbigh extended their lead atop Zone H with a 3-1 win over second placed Edwin Allen High, their fourth win in a row.

Former champions Cornwall College stayed on top in Zone A after edging Muschett High 2-1 at Jarrett Park while William Knibb played to a 1-1 draw at Anchovy to stay in second place, one point ahead of Herbert Morrison who beat St James High 2-0.
