Worried about friend

Dear Pastor,

I have a friend who is 19 years old. She has a 26-year-old boyfriend. The problem is not just the age difference; it is that he is married. She is supposed to be a good Christian girl. I thought that Christians were supposed to be against adultery.

What should I do? I do not agree with this. I know that it is none of my business, but she claims that she loves him and that he loves her. I do not want my friend to get hurt.

J., Bermuda

Dear J.,

If this girl is your friend and she has confided in you that she is having an affair with this man, you would have expressed how you feel about the relationship. After all, you claim that you do not want to see her get hurt. If she continues to be intimate with the man, you should leave her alone but pray for her.

Pastor
