Dear Pastor,
I have a crush on a girl who attends my school. We both have finished our examinations. She knows that I have strong feelings for her and that I love her, but she has a boyfriend. He is a popular Jamaican deejay, but she told me that she has strong feelings for me too.
We are both 18 years old, but the deejay is 20. I do not know how to match him. Even though we both go to uptown schools and live in uptown neighbourhoods, I do not know which one of us she loves more.

Dear J. T.,
You are aware that the deejay may have the edge over you because he is popular. However, if she is interested in getting a good education and you are interested in getting a good education and both of you truly love each other and the deejay is an empty-headed guy, I can assure you that you will get the girl.
Lyrics
Some deejays are educated and very smart. Others are not interested in education. They are only popular, but the popularity doesn't last forever. They run out of lyrics and when they do, the girls leave them too. So don't be worried about the deejay.
Now having said the above, I must warn you. If you know that this girl has this boyfriend, why have you been pushing yourself on her? Don't you think that you are confusing her? I am sure you wouldn't want to have a confrontation with the deejay. Remember that teenagers often have crush on each other but that is part of growing up.
