OVERMARS DESCRIBES one of his latest dances as being similar to the 'Screechy' dance done some years ago.
"Basically, we a step back and forward, clapping our hands, something similar to the 'Screechy', while someone holds a handkerchief, like we a tame a bull." The dance, therefore, usually includes two persons.
HIP SLANG
The hip slang for this week is 'How high dem deh?'
The slang in its entirety was actually made popular among dancers in a music video that Overmars did for a song entitled Ravers Clavers, Dance Forever.
"How high dem deh? How wi look up an still a si dem. Ravers, clavers, dem nuh deh nuh weh. Basically, wi mean dem (other dancers) nuh reach nuh weh, they haven't achieved the levels that they are at. Basically a jus when wi talk, inna di dancehall," Overmars explained.
