Man tells of son's 'wrongdoings'

By TASHIEKA MAIR, STAR Writer

A 27-YEAR-OLD Montego Bay man accused of breaking into his father's house and stealing a radio and several important documents, was remanded on Wednesday after his father told the RM of his history of wrongdoings.

Ishmael Irskin, who is said to be a cocaine addict, was charged with simple larceny after it was alleged that on September 7, he broke into his father's house and stole a radio, a passport, land title and several other documents.

The radio was recovered but the documents are still missing.

In court, the accused told Montego Bay Resident Magistrate Winsome Henry that he did not steal the radio. He said he was hungry and he took some food and played some music while at the house.

"A just some food mi tek mummy, mi nuh tief no radio," he said.

REGULAR THIEF

However, his father told the RM that everybody has a problem with Irskin because he is a regular thief. He was also previously before the court for killing one of his cousins and also stabbing his father on his arm.

RM Henry requested that he be taken to see a psychiatrist and that his police record be available for the next court date.

He will be brought back to court on October 7.
