Our love is fading

Dear Pastor,

Keep up the good work which you are doing. I have a problem that I hope you can help me with. I have a boyfriend that is in Jamaica, and I am in Canada.

We have been together for four years and I know he loves me. However, since lately, he has been in a whole lot of problems and he takes his stress out on me. We keep having problems and he told me it is best that we break up, because he is not good for me and I deserve someone better, etc.

I think though that he found someone and that is why he is acting like that. We have always been able to talk and get along well with each other, but I don't know what happened. I need your help.

I love him so much and I want us to be together, because we understand each other. He calls me sometimes at 5 o'clock in the morning to tell me that he loves me and I should not worry about anything. He said we are going to be fine. All this he said after he broke up with me, and so I think that he is confused too.

He got into trouble with the law and with some of his friends, and he is just messed up right now. I think that is why he is doing this, and I told him I will always be by his side no matter what.

Pastor I love him very much and I know he loves me, so I don't understand why he is pulling away from me. Help me understand so I can know what to do. God bless you.

K.W., Toronto, Canada

Dear K.W.,

I am afraid that contrary to what you said, this man and you don't know each other very well. If you did, you would not be fussing and fighting and saying harsh things to each other.

On the other hand, I think the distance may be taking a toll on both of you. You are in Canada and he is in Jamaica, and both of you prefer to be together.

If the love therefore is so strong for each other, come to Jamaica and marry him and then file for him to join you in Canada.

My prayers are with both of you.

Pastor
