YVONNE NEMBHARD HAS always wanted to give birth to twins. Her dream came true, but there was disappointment when one of her babies died.
Still wanting to have and care for twins, she tried again and it became a reality, when she gave birth to a girl named Zantae and a boy called Zantoy on January 10 this year. She noted that two months during her pregnancy, she was aware that she would have had twins again and that it was one of the happiest moments in her 33 years of living.
DEPRESSED
When one of the twins died from the previous pregnancy, Nembhard stated that she was very depressed, as she really wanted to see how twins grew up together and what it would have been like having them around.
Well, now that she has been able to see what twins are like together, though not having any regrets, she said it is very challenging.
"They are fun to be with at times. To see both of them play and all of that. To see them sleep together and feed together is good. It can be very challenging, but what is good is that they do not give me any trouble.
"As soon as they are fed they go off to sleep for about two to three hours. When they go to bed at nights they do not wake up until about 6 o'clock in the morning," said the proud mother.
Zantoy, she said, was the first to be born of the two who are somewhat identical. His sister came five minutes after. However, she had a breach delivery (the feet or buttocks coming out first) with Zantae whose complexion is lighter than her brother's.
