DEAR PASTOR,
I am married to a man whom I am not in love with. He is very selfish and inconsiderate. When a man, any man looks at his wife who brings in more money than he does in the home and tells her she can only have a hundred dollars to help to bury her mother, she cannot love him. And this is only one of the reasons.
The only man that I have ever loved came back into my life two years ago. I am a Christian and I am trying to do the right thing but I am very unhappy and I have been for years. I cannot live the rest of life being unhappy. I gave this man the down payment for the house we live in, but whenever he talks, he refers to everything as his. Whenever I mention doing anything to better myself, he asks why.
I have prayed and I know my time is not God's time. What should I do?
Most Miserable., U.S.A.
Dear Most Miserable,
If you are unhappy with this man and you are not in love with him you may need the help of a lawyer. Don't remain with your husband and play around with another man. If you want to be free, tell your husband that you are not going to stay in the marriage then do something about it.
I wish you well.
Pastor
