Out of order

THE EDITOR, Madam:

The National Works Agency is quite out of order. Imagine that government agency has ignored repeated calls for the renovation of the Lexington Avenue pedestrian crossing in Vineyard Town, Kingston. It seems as if it is mulberry bush they want to carry us around.

September is just around the corner and Excelsior Primary and Pre-primary schools will soon re-open. National Works Agency, stop ignoring the people of Vineyard Town.

The NWA should step up to the plate and behold! Please, do not make your irresponsible actions result in an accident in the area and send up Jamaica's death toll. Miss Petra Keane Williams, you sound like a lady of action and we would like to see some.

Kindly make the necessary arrangements to have the Lexington Avenue crossing restored and give the people of the Vineyard Town community a measure of satisfaction.

I am, etc.,

Hugh Anderson Blair

Kingston 3
