The teachers in our nation must be worried at this time that the respect that they once received is decreasing.
Once a teacher was widely regarded as an important person who helped to shape the minds of the future leaders and citizens of our nation.
The impact and influence that a teacher had, made them among the most respected of our society often earning the public's support when they had their grouses.
These latest killings definitely suggest that Jamaica has reach the point of no return.
There is currently a shortage of teachers and for them to be murdered is endangering the small population that is left. Surely those who had not considered migration may have thoughts about this option as they seek a means of escape.
It is indeed a tragedy that two more persons have been killed and the murder scrolls bearing the names of all those who have been killed in our island has been lengthened by these two additions.
The respect for each other is surely slipping away and when that is totally gone, then nothing can save us.
