Gang feud blamed for triple murder

THE KINGSTON EASTERN police have blamed yesterday's triple murder at Newton Square in the Kingston 16 area on an ongoing gang feud in the area.

Marvin Jacobs 31, otherwise called 'Clint', his common-law wife Ingrid Wright, 19, and 16-year-old Andre Moncrieffe were shot and killed by a group of gunmen who kicked open the door of a six bedroom house where the three persons lived.

According to the Kingston Eastern police, at about 4:00 a.m. yesterday a group of five or six men entered the house and fired at Jacobs and his wife killing them. They then went to another section of the house and opened fire through a window and Moncrieffe was shot and killed.

The police said it was a continuation of an ongoing feud and on Monday night, gunmen had also shot and killed another man while he was at a shop in the Windward Road area. The police said the man was at the shop when a car with three men drove up. The men reportedly pulled guns and fired at Smith, killing him on the spot.

Meanwhile, the police said they were following strong leads into yesterday's triple murder.
