Dear Pastor,
How are you doing? I hope you are doing fine. I was in Jamaica for six months. When I was there, I was going out with a 19-year-old man and I was only 15. When I finally came back to the States I used to call him every night to talk to him. He is very sweet and caring.
Rough country
I know Jamaica is rough, but every time I called he begged me money. When I had it, I would send it to him, but it is like he thinks I am rich. I am only 16 years old. He knows that I only go to school. I don't work, but he still asks me for money and when I don't send it, he gets mad at me. He doesn't want to work and wants me to take care of him.
I feel like I am being used. I really need your help. God Bless.

Dear T.E.,
Set this guy straight. Remind him that you are a student and that you are not employed. Tell him that if he is interested in you because of the money he thinks he can get from you, both of you should end your friendship. Tell him he ought to go and work and it is shameful for a man to be always begging a woman for money. Remind him that money is not found on the streets of the United States and that you are not looking for a beggar, but a real man.
May I encourage you to concentrate on your school work. Don't be distracted by any man. Focus on education. No one can take away your education from you, but a man may come into your life, use and abuse you if you are not careful.
Pastor
