A MAN WHO had cursed a police officer must have left the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday feeling sorry he had not bitten his tongue.
Milton Pitt of Tredegar Park, Spanish Town, St Catherine, was fined $7,000 or 30 days imprisonment at hard labour for abusive and indecent language when he appeared before Resident Magistrate Martin Gayle.
The court heard that while at the Norman Manley International Airport, Pitt parked his vehicle in an area reserved for Jamaica Urban Transport Corporation vehicles.
A tow truck driver seeing him, asked him to move his vehicle, but Pitt told him he was waiting on something. A police officer accompanying the driver then went to Pitt and asked him, a second time, to move from the area. It was then that Pitt reportedly told the officer expletives and drove off. He was later arrested and charged.
