MATT MYRIE, THE doctor charged with rape and indecent assault will return to court on August 12 when his preliminary enquiry is expected to continue.
Myrie had his bail extended when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday. He is facing two counts of rape and two counts of indecent assault
Allegations are that on February 26, 2005, Myrie, a 31-year-old gynaecologist, called a patient to the ultra sound room. While there, the court is alleging, he reportedly fondled her and had sex with her twice.
The matter was reported to the police, and after investigations, the accused was arrested and charged.
