Bodies of murdered couple identified

By RASBERT TURNER, STAR Writer

SPANISH TOWN

THE ST. CATHERINE North Police have identified the bodies a man and a woman found at two separate locations in rural St. Catherine between Saturday night and Sunday.

They are Omar Hutchinson, 20, and his companion, Theresa White, 25, of Lugwig Avenue, Sydenham, in the parish.

Detective Divisional Inspector Derrick Champagnie says relatives of the deceased advised that on Saturday, at about 10 a.m., Hutchinson picked up White at her home and were never seen alive again.

Body found along road

He said that about 7 p.m., Hutchinson's body was found along the Watermount main road in rural St. Catherine.

On Sunday at about 3:30 p.m., a resident going into the river at Guanamoa Vale saw the partially nude body of White on the bank of the river and summoned the police.

Detective Inspector Champagnie said the bodies were identified at the Spanish Town Hospital yesterday. The two had gunshot wounds to the head and upper body.
