THE MAN ALLEGEDLY charged with luring three street boys to his home to play video games where they were sexually assaulted and sent out to beg, was remanded before Resident Magistrate Martin Gayle yesterday.
The Kingston 8 man is facing charges of buggery, indecent assault, harbouring a child and causing a child to beg. He is before the Corporate Area RM Court arising from offences which were allegedly committed between December and July of this year.
File incomplete
When the matter came up for mention yesterday, the court was told that the file was incomplete. The man requested an attorney and applied for bail. He was told that an attorney would be appointed to him. But, he however renewed his bail application saying that being granted bail would allow him to seek an attorney. But, RM Gayle denied this saying that he was charged with serious offences and as such could not be given bail.
An August 10 date was set for the matter.
The accused was arrested earlier this month. Allegations are between December 2004 and July 2 of this year, the accused allegedly invited the boys to his home to play video games.
Sent out to beg
While there, he reportedly performed oral sex on the boys and sexually assaulted them. It is reported that he then sent them out on the streets to beg money and when they returned he used some of the money to buy food and kept the rest for himself. The court was told that two of the boys were living with him at the time of his arrest and that they had told the police that the accused had performed oral sex on them. Medical reports later proved the boys were sexually molested.
