STAR Artiste of the month/Reggae Gold feature: Lexxus' Day Out - Rolling with Mr Lexx

By TOUSSAINT SMITH, Staff Reporter

Mr. Lexx shows his 'bling' to THE STAR team during a day out with the DJ recently.

SO WHAT'S A typical day out with Mr. Lexx? THE STAR visited the VP recording artiste last Wednesday at one of his sessions outside Exodus recording studio off Red Hills Road, where we spent some time with him and his colleagues.

According to Mr. Lexx, a typical day begins with 'meditation'. "Me get up and play at least a hour worth a X-Box, bun some high grade up a mi Red Hills home and hold a morning meditation," he said.

Upon leaving his home, the very first thing to do on his itinerary, he said, is to stop off by Exodus Recording Studio. Here he spends a portion of his day with his little brother, friend and a few recording artistes such as Hawkeye, General B and others. Mr. Lex added, "Exodus a di first place me stop when me a come off the hills ... but mi favorite spot a round a Buju studio, still, weh mi normally spend most a mi day."

On the second stop for the day Mr Lexx rolls out to Headline Entertainment. "Haffi check wid the office daily", he said laughing. Headline Entertainment is Mr. Lexx's booking agent in Jamaica.

He admits that he doesn't have much to do regularly. "Mi nuh really have a life, smoke weed, studio, smoke weed again, eat some food in between, call and check up pon mi son dem, call and check Yolan up a VP Records - that is if mi nuh have a busy day but today is not a normal day", Mr. Lexx added.

When THE STAR left Mr. Lexx, he was about to record a tune for deejay Liquid at Vendetta studio in St. Andrew.
