No bother to 'babyfather'

Dear Pastor

I wrote to you telling you that I am pregnant for a man who has his family, and that I will do nothing to come between his family and him. I don't think that you believed me based on the response that you have given me.

I told the guy that I am pregnant and he told me to have an abortion even though he knows that I had a problem getting pregnant. It hurt me like crazy, but through the help of my sister and friends, I am coping.

I told him three months ago and he has never called me to find out how I am doing. I have not called him and I will not call him. As I told you before, I will take full responsibility for my action, and with the help of God and my family I will take care of my only child all by myself.

I see my pregnancy as a gift from God and I will appreciate the gift that he chose to give to me. I told you that I never knew that I could get pregnant after doing the fertility test. Without the drugs, I got pregnant. I will give my child all the love I have in me. There are so many single mothers in the world who are doing their best for their children, and I know that I can do the same.

Pray for me so that I have no complication during my pregnancy and delivery. Again, I will do nothing to my child's father's relationship.

You said that you don't think I believed you. You are judging me. I do believe you. I wish you well. Write me again after you have given birth.

I do hope that in spite of his present behaviour, this man will have a change of heart and support the child.
