Close call for Rasta's 'balls'

By FRANCINE BLACK/BYRON MCDANIEL, Staff Reporters

walderston, manchester

THIRTEEN STITCHES IN time saved a Rastafarian's testicle recently after his girlfriend used her fingernails to slash open his scrotum during a lover's quarrel.

The man, who resides in Manchester with his girlfriend, was rushed to the hospital where his scrotum was sewed up and the testicle put back in place.

Attempts were made to contact the Rasta man, but it was said that he was unwilling to speak to the media. According to a relative of the Rastafarian who is a taxi man, the couple were resting after making love, when a text message came in on his cellphone.

His girlfriend became upset about the contents of the message and they began to argue. While the two were arguing, the girlfriend allegedly grabbed onto his scrotum and began pulling it. While doing so one of her false fingernails allegedly cut open his scrotum.

After the act, his girlfriend reportedly left the house and locked the doors behind her. The injured man used his phone to call for assistance. His rescuers had to break down the door to get to him.

He was rushed to the hospital where he received 13 stitches and was discharged.

The Rastafarian is said to be at home now recuperating. The family member said since the incident, he has not seen the woman.

Officers from the police stations close to the community in which the Rastafarian lives confirmed that they heard of the incident but they say they have not yet received an official report.
