TRINIDADIAN LEVI JOSEPHS will wait in prison until June 23 to face trial for drug trafficking.
Josephs, 45, who was on the run for the past two months, was arrested while trying to board a flight to Tobago on May 27.
Police report that on April 3, at approximately 9 p.m., at the Norman Manley International Airport, authorities found about 25 kilogramms (52 lb) of ganja in Josephs' three suitcases.
However, they later discovered that he reportedly fled the airport, as he was not on his flight.
On May 27, Josephs was held at the airport while trying to leave for a flight to Trinidad. He had in his possession an emergency passport issued by the Trinidad consulate.
The court heard he applied for the emergency passport because he lost his original.
