THE EDITOR, MADAM:
What does Bob Marley and Gerald 'Bogle' Levy have in common? Both are responsible architects in the construction of reggae and the choreography of reggae music respectively. Both Bob and Bogle are greatly missed both locally and internationally. Bob went throughout the world endorsing reggae music and bringing fame and popularity to the small island. He showed courage and confidence throughout his musical career.
Bogle's courage was one of his greatest attributes, which brought light to his success and fame in dancehall choreography. He took the spotlight and danced when everybody else was too shy to dance. Bogle created and endorsed many dance moves both here in Jamaica and overseas.
Both Bs grew up in the innercity but didn't become the innercity. To grow up in a community plagued with crime and violence and become famous and outstanding icons like Bob and Bogle must be an overwhelming task. If you place water in a refrigerator below 0 degree, eventually the water will become ice, but when people are focused and determined they don't have to yield to the surroundings that they are in. Even though Bob died, his children still carried the tradition that he left. Bogle's children should adopt the same.
