A ELDERLY MAN who told a police officer at the Sangster International Airport he was "full of s--t" was fined after pleading guilty to using profanity.
Alexander Bartlett was apparently in a hurry, as he was getting ready to leave the island on May 10 for Atlanta, USA, and was not pleased with the time the police officer was taking to search his bags.
Alexander told the officer "hurry up and search di bag, wha you t'ink you de yah fah, yu full a s--t."
He was arrested and charged under the Airports Authority Act and fined $2,000 or 30 days in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court on Monday.
Senior Resident Magistrate Winsome Henry, who handed down the sentence, was harsh in her criticism of Alexander's behaviour, telling him he should be ashamed of himself and should learn to have more respect for authority.
