"We are disappointed that we lost. But the Lord said KC was more prepared and gave it to KC," Dane Clarke, captain of Ardenne told THE STAR. He said whilethe team performed well, he felt the buzzer section was the weakest part of the match for the team. "We knew some of the answers to the questions, but we made them slide," Clarke said.
From the first segment both teams appeared to be playing a focused match. At the end of that segment, Ardenne was on nine points while KC was on 12.
In segment two, the teams sought to build their scores even more. Ardenne scored a total of 15 points bringing their score to 24. KC scored 19 points bringing their score to 32 points.

Jefferey H. Foreman, KC's captain, said he was happy about his team's performance. "I think we played well. As we go further in the competition the matches will get more difficult and we will have to work harder," he said.
He said he was happy that his team kept calm during the buzzer section which turned out to be the deciding section of the match. "I am happy we kept calm during the buzzer section when Ardenne was trying to increase its scores. We stuck to the game plan," he said.
As for the coming match against Calabar, he said the team will be doing more mental preparation.
We will be revisin, and doing our mental preparation because there is not much we can do at this point of the competition," he said. KC's coach Valmore Stewart agreed that his team played well and they need only to stick to the game plan to win the next match.
