YET ANOTHER CHILD who was left at home alone has perished in a fire.
Dead is, six-year-old Shamoy Anderson of Kew District in Hanover, who died when fire destroyed her home on Tuesday morning.
Reports are that Shamoy was left alone at home with her two brothers, aged 11 and 13, while their mother went to work.
Boys also left home
However, shortly after their mother left, the two boys also left the home.
When the boys returned shortly before 10 a.m., the house was seen to be on fire. After the fire brigade extinguished the blaze, Shamoy's body was found in the house.
When THE STAR contacted the Lucea police, they were unable to say whether or not the mother will be charged.
