Dear Pastor,
I am 24 years old and I am trying to do the best I can. I study and keep up my grades so that I can accomplish my goals. My father is very sick. I was dating this guy and he acted like he was "Mr. Wonderful." He treated me well and acted like a real gentleman but after two months of dating he started acting rude and was verbally abusive. I used to share my food and help him. He loved our Jamaican food. He is African.
He went in my purse when I stepped out of the room. He opened my check and went through my cell phone. Half of my things were thrown on the bed.
When I saw this I started screaming and yelling and he screamed back. He hit my purse out of my hand and started using profanity. He also told me not to come back to the house and I am not to call if I go home. When I got home I didn't call him and now he is being obsessive and calling my house and cell phone.
I don't want to be with him. I want to be left alone and think about my studies and my trip to Jamaica in July. Please tell me if my actions were positive.

Dear A. M,
You have a right to enjoy privacy and this guy was wrong to go through your personal belongings. He is out of order. You shouldn't go further with this relationship. Ignore him totally. He does not respect women.
Pastor.
