A MAN THAT police say was wanted for questioning in relation to several murders and shooting was found dead on Wednesday afternoon.
The man, Raymond 'Puss Eye' Smith, of Gem Road, Kingston 13, was found dead with his hands and feet bound.
Detective Inspector Altermorth Campbell, of the St. Andrew South Police, said that Smith, 22, was wanted for questioning in relation to murders and shootings in the Whitfield Town Area. He cited the murder of Rachel Gordon in 2003, and that of a porridge man along Maxfield Road in 2004 as incidents to which Smith was allegedly connected. "We had gone to look for him on several occasions, but could not find him," Campbell said.
Detective Campbell said Smith and another man were kidnapped by gunmen. The other man is said to have escaped and called Smith's family and warned them that the gunmen were going to kill him.
At about 1:30 p.m., residents found Smith's body along the train line at Ashenhein Road and alerted the police. He was found suffering from gunshot wounds.
Detective Campbell said the police have linked Smith's death to a gang feud.
The St Andrew South Homicide Unit is investigating.
